Don't you DARE Minimize Your Purpose!


When God told me to create this blog I immediately started doing my research on what it takes to actually launch it. I initially started out trying to do it on my own, but yeah that didn't work out! Then He started to connect me up with some amazing people who were gifted in writing, fashion, beauty, and of course branding!

Then I begin thinking, "A blog Lord? I mean I get it, but EVERYBODY and their mama is doing a blog!” Then it hit me, who am I to minimize what the Lord leads me to do? If God told me to go upstairs and change the guest room pillow cases from blue to hot pink the fact that He said it outweighs what my finite mind can comprehend. He has a purpose and plan in everything He leads us to do.

Besides, His thoughts and ways are so much higher than mine (Isaiah 55:9). I can question it, meaning my humanity will naturally question why the Lord would even choose me to do something like this, but to completely dismiss what He told me to do based on my limited wisdom compared to the Omniscient (all knowing), Omnipresent (everywhere at the same time), Omnipotent (all powerful) One? Girl..bye! LOL (to me that is:)

The point is, don't you DARE minimize what God leads you to do. I don't care how silly, small, crazy, or out of the box it may seem to YOU. As a matter of fact, that’s one the greatest indicators God is leading you into something greater. It may feel uncomfortable but as I stated in my first blog, “your comfort zones will never align with God’s purpose for your life.”

Also, don't share your dreams with everyone! Joseph shared his dream with his closest family members (his blood brothers) and they hated him for it. Well, they already hated him, but they hated him even more after that. They sold him into slavery, BUT despite their ill will God had a plan for Joseph. If you read his story in Genesis, you will find Joseph’s dream did come to pass. He had to go through hardship to see it manifest, BUT he was obedient to God. Because of his obedience Joseph not only saved the very family that casted him into the dungeon, but an entire country! Can you relate? (Full story in Genesis 37-50)

What has God told you to do? What has he told you to launch in 2016? If there is anyone that can talk about fear, that would be me *hand raised so high it's touching the ceiling.* Talk about a "fraidy cat" AND some at one point in my life, that was certainly me! I feared rejection and what people would think of me but I soon grew very weary of living in the bondage of my fears or frankly what people thought of me.

The more I moved forward with creating this blog, the more it freed me and it was an answered prayer. “Lord, deliver me from the opinion of others.” I didn’t know how He would do it, but by moving in obedience it has brought me deliverance. I began to understand that if I'm experiencing this just from my obedience, surely others can also experience freedom.

That's the purpose of this blog, to help free you from your fears to embrace A NEW ME: Transparently and Abundantly in Christ. The complete opposite of transparency is to be hidden. The polarity of abundance is lack. Aren't you tired of being hidden and living in lack? I mean in every area of your life? I sure was and if you are as well then you can join me in spreading this message to live more transparently in Christ! Let's take a stand in what God has called us to do and stop minimizing our gifts, our beauty, and our purpose. It's time to live fabulously in Him while helping others achieve their purpose. It's time to embrace the fullness of who Christ has called you to be while setting others free in the bondage of their pain or fears.

I can't emphasize this enough, don’t you DARE minimize what God has called you to do! He will direct your step. He will place the right people in your life (or they are already part of your life) to get His purpose launched in the earth. The beautiful thing about this process is to realize this…God has chosen you! Yes YOU! Trust me, people need what you have.

A NEW ME Action Steps:

1. Don’t minimize His plan, but maximize the opportunity to spread the message He has placed in you for the world.

“For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

(Jeremiah 29:11, NIV)

2. Get your plan together and put it to action.

“…Write the vision; make it plain on tablets…” (Habakkuk 2:2, NIV)

“…Faith without deeds is dead.” (James 2:26, NIV)

3. Let your faith come alive as you do the following: pray, wait, move, and achieve.

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6, NIV) Earnestly seek = prayer.

4. Live obediently and transparently in Him, this will lead you to the abundant life.

“If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land…” (Isaiah 1:19, NIV)

“Behold, You desire truth in the innermost being, And in the hidden part You will make me know wisdom.” (Psalm 51:6, NASB)

5. Expect for your God’s purpose to prosper through you!

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us…” (Ephesians 3:20, NIV)

Get ready to embrace “A NEW ME: Transparently, Abundantly.”
