Fall Into a Fail Proof Smokey Look

Just like we have to dress for the change in seasons our G.L.A.M. should be seasonal too. When we approach our Fall and Winter months some of those vibrant loud shades get benched because it’s time for the warm tones to be a part of the starting line up! The dilemma however for the everyday woman in most cases is what are the “Do’s and Dont's” of basic seasonal glamour? So where does she turn for the looks of the season without the end result turning into an Epic Fail.

She turns to A NEW ME F.A.B. (Fashion and Beauty) Friday's of course…

Two of the keys areas that will change on your look during this season is eyes and lips. One of your absolute favorite looks should be the smokey eye. Ok,ok, ok… we hear you. “I’ll look like a raccoon!”, you’re thinking… but that’s the furthest thing from the truth. The trick to a smokey eye for the woman who hasn’t perfected her blending skills quite yet is to use colors in the brown family. Stay away from BLACK!

We think a smokey brown is fail proof and effortless as well as forgiving for those not so blended applications. Another thing we love about a smokey eye in the brown family is that it still gives a sultry feel but plays up your face with subtlety.

Two brands that offer palettes specifically for this look. One is by Too Faced cosmetics, “natural matte eye.”  This can be found at:  (www.sephora.com or www.toofaced.com).

The second is Becca Cosmetics in “Ombre Nudes Eye” also found at (www.sephora.com or www.beccacosmetics.com).

Both of these great finds can be added to your collection for right at $40, so grab yourself one and we guarantee your fall and winter will get a lot warmer.`

Once you’ve added warmth to your eyes you can add some depth by going bolder on the lips!  The great divide between a black and brown smokey eye is the versatility in lip shades when pairing the two to complete your look. When going with a black smokey eye you have to be very careful in how you use color on your lips.

You almost always want to go with something in the nude family. But when you go for a warmer look on your eyes as we mentioned you are free to wear some of the most beautiful shades of berry and wine. And trust us when we say, this color combination is any Glamour Dolls delight! We have a few colors here that we think you will find essential for this season’s kit and they won’t break the bank.

Sephora Collections Rouge Infusion Lip Stain in “”Fig Ink’ found at (www.sephora.com - $7).

Colour Pop Cosmetic in ‘LAX’ found at (www.colourpop.com - $6).

NYX cosmetics matte lipstick in ‘Siren” found at NYX Cosmetics for $5.99.

Depending on your geographical location your fall and winter may be a little cooler than most. So our goal is to help you add on the layers and warm up your beautiful face! With these key items added to your case don’t mind if we ,“Fall Into a Fail Proof Smokey Look”. When done just right you’ll be thanking us as you send Season’s Greetings of G.L.A.M!
